Heng Kee Curry Chicken Noodles

Located at #01-58, Hong Lim Food Centre, 531A Upper Cross Street is the very popular Heng Kee Curry Chicken Noodles. You know all the "hong lim" curry chicken noodles you see around Singapore? All those are pretty much copies of Heng Kee Curry Chicken Noodles. This stall has been around for many many years. I pretty much grew up eating curry noodles from this stall. The chef used to be the father, but the son has now taken over.

Be aware that queues generally takes at least 30 minutes, and the queue will still be there, even when you are done. They are THAT popular. If you come during weekday lunchtime, the queue might even be longer. This picture was taken at 2pm on a Saturday, and we still had to wait 30 minutes. Oh and all the drumstick was gone, so if you like drumstick, its best if u go early.

Chicken Curry Noodles.

A $5 bowl consists of roughly 2 pieces of fishcake, lots of taupok, a piece of potato and a few pieces of chicken that is really tender and smooth. The curry is slightly spicy but really awesome. I always finish all the curry sauce. The chili sauce they provide(which they make themselves) complements the chicken very well.

Will I come again? I'm a regular.
